University of the Philippines in the service of the underserved communities of the nation through volunteerism
To prepare and nurture a corps of volunteers committed to provide leadership in the undertaking and implementation of community-oriented program complementary to the Teaching, Research and Extension functions of the University.
The logo captures the initials of the University of the Philippines that is U.P. The colors blue, white and mixture of yellow and red orange are inspired by the Philippine flag giving acknowledgement to the University's commitment to the service of the nation. The blue represents the seed of growth sprouting from within that describes the multi-dimension of lives being touched by thousands of volunteers. The red orange to yellow prominently placed on the left to emphasize the glowing spirit of selfless service to the underserved sectors. It is like the sun that nurtures the seed. The curvilinear, circular form that opens upright represents the common interest that binds the volunteers altogether in making a difference.

Tumindig ka, Anak ng Bayan,
Pilipinas ay Naghihintay
Ihandog mo ang puso't dunong,
Sa pagsulong ng bansa't nayon.
Ibukas mo ang pamantasan,
Sa manigong sining at agham,
Pakislapin ang pagtuturo,
Sa saliksik at pagkukuro.
Bigkasin mo ang diwa,
Sa sarili't pambansang wika,
Buhay mo ang pagmamahalan,
Sa laya at kasaysayan.
Itanghal mo ang Filipino,
May dangal at talinong tao,
Naglilingkod sa taong bayan,
Iginagalang sa daigdig.
